Gosta is certainly one of my favourite Swedes, (a little bit apparent here!) a busy active doctor in Swedish IPPNW, SLMK

An expert panel opened the second day and featured Rhianna Tyson (WILPF) and Andreas Persbo (VERTIC).
Check them out reading each others papers!

After the expert panel, we had breakout groups/workshops. I'm not a huge believer in breakout groups, but this one focused on the Nuclear Weapon States was really good.
Led by Henrik Salander Secretary General of the WMD Commission (at the end of the table), and including Karel Koster (PNND), Frieda Bloem (SPAS), John Loretz (IPPNW), hard working rapporteur, Henrik, Jenny Immerstrand (SLMK), Senator Doug Roche of Canada, Jens Petersson (SPAS) and other smart people not in the photo, Alyson Bailes (SIPRI), Bo Wirmark (Swedish Peace Council), Peter Nickolls (Abolition 2000, UK) Agneta Norberg and others.

The report back session is below. Henrik Salander, Pol D'Huyvetter (For Mother Earth), Rhianna Tyson (WILPF), Andreas Persbo (VERTIC), with Daniel Nord (WMDC) is speaking.

Dinner with Merav Datan (WILPF), William Peden (Greenpeace), Rhianna Tyson (WILPF) and Richard Guthrie (SIPRI). Believe it or not, William loves me deeply.

Workshop on Sunday led by Rhianna and attended by these three Swedes, looking down is a man who made some excellent information posters about nuclear weapons, Bo Wirmark of the Swedish Peace Council who I met in 1996 in Geneva and then again recently in the library in Uppsala and when I asked him if he was visiting Uppsala, he said, yes, for the last 35 years! Also here is Peter Lindsrom of SPAS, the Swedish Peace and Arbitration Society.

Rhianna Tyson is a WILPF treasure and star and I obviously felt it was very important to document her every move at this conference!
She leads Reaching Critical Will and will soon lead the world.
